Mediation Scholarships in 2011
CPD Seminars are offering scholarships on the Accredited Mediation Training (Foundation & Advanced) taking place on a variety of dates in 2011. There are a total of eight places to be won from the categories below.
Trainee accountants, apprentice solicitors and barristers and other trainees such as architects and chartered secretaries ,have a great opportunity to submit a Great essay before Tuesday,1st May 2012 in order to be in with a chance to win a scholarship place on the forthcoming Foundation Course in Accredited Mediation, taking place on Friday 11th & Saturday 12th May 2011 in Dublin, successful candidates will go on then to complete Part 2, The Advanced Course and on successful completion of the examination process in September 2012 or in January 2013, they will be eligible to join the panel of mediators with Mediation Forum Ireland and be entitled to the designation, Accredited Mediator.
The successful completion of both courses will accredit the successful entrants with Mediation Forum Ireland and will enable them to practice as an Accredited Mediator.
Entry Requirements to the Mediation Courses
Entrants must be:
- An apprentice solicitor or solicitor of no more than three years practice
- A devil or qualified barrister of no more than 3 years call
- A law student
- CIPD student
- A trainee accountant of no more than three years in practice
- A trainee chartered secretary of no more than three years in practice
- A trainee architect of no more than three years in practice
What Is The Academic Paper On?
Entrants must submit a type written essay of no more than 2,500 words on the subject of alternative dispute resolution e.g.
“S.I.No. 209 of 2011, European Communities (Mediation) Regulations, 2011, How applicable are these new Regulations for cross-border disputes in Ireland?”
“The Personal Insolvency Bill 2012, Will the proposed new Personal Insolvency Trustee be a Mediator”
“Could the “Priory Hall Situation” have benn avoided?”
“Was the Arbitration Act 2010 Necessary?”
“Mediation and the Legal Services Regulatory Bill 2011″
“What can Mediation do for Nama”, “The Circuit Court Case Progression Rules & ADR”
“Section 24 of the Multi Unit Developments Act 2011”,
“ A critique of the LRC proposed Mediation and Conciliation Bill”
” Will Mediation become Mandatory in Apartment Management Company Disputes?”
“Mediation for the HSE?” . What do the need?
“Order 56A, S.I. 502 Rules Of the Superior Courts (Mediation and Conciliation) 2010,
Is this the End of Lawyers?”
” Can the new Construction Contracts Bill 2010 deliver a solution for the industry?”
Be creative.
All entries to be accompanied with a cover letter stating the entrants name, address, telephone number, job title or university etc. and confirming that they agree to their essay being posted on the website of CPD Seminars as a resource to the ADR community in Ireland and abroad.

The Successful Entry:
The judging panel including Ercus Stewart SC, Paulyn Marrinan Quinn SC and Brian Walker BL will decide the successful entries. Those entrants will then be entitled to attend their chosen Foundation and Advanced Course in mediation in the year 2012. See mediation for other training dates.

Borsa di studio per un Accreditato Corso di Formazione per Mediatori
CPD Seminars offre borse di studio per corsi di formazione livello base, o livello avanzato, che si svolgeranno in varie date nel periodo 2012/2013.
Il numero totale delle borse offerte é di 8 ripartite tra diverse categorie di soggetti come di seguito illustrato.
Una volta completato con successo l’intero corso, ai partecipanti verrá riconosciuta la qualifica di Mediatori Accreditati, riconosciuta in tutta Europa.
REQUISITI DI INGRESSO:
Possono partecipare al concorso:
- Tirocinanti o Avvocati con non piú di tre anni di pratica (4 posti)
- Studenti di giurisprudenza (2 posti)
- Studenti nell’ambito delle Risorse Umane (2 posti)
É richiesta buona padronanza della lingua inglese.
OGGETTO DEL CONCORSO:
I partecipanti dovranno redigere un saggio in inglese, per un massimo di 2500 parole, sul tema: Risoluzione Alternativa delle Controversie. Per esempio: “Attuazione Italiana della Direttiva Comunitaria 2008/52/EC”.
I saggi dovranno essere accompagnati da una breve lettera di autopresentazione in cui venga indicato: Nome, Cognome, Indirizzo, Numero di telefono, Professione, Titolo Universitario ecc.

IL VINCITORE:
Una giuria di esperti formata da: Ercus Stewart SC, Paulyn Marrinan Quinn SC and Brian Walker BL, esaminerá i saggi pervenuti, e sceglierá tra gli stessi gli 8 vincitori.
Agli autori degli stessi sará quindi consentito di partecipare gratuitamente al corso da loro indicato ( a scelta tra il Livello Base e il Livello Avanzato) durante il periodo 2012/2013.
